Bruce and the E Street Band really pulled out all the stops at these last shows at Giants Stadium and again at the old Philadelphia Spectrum. They are all special and worth having!

When I initially downloaded this show I thought the sound was clean and it was great to hear all these rarities. I thankFlying Gonz for that. I put the show away and moved on to other pending projects. Then I got a request from MusicDav(who was at the Spectrum for this gig) and I put it on the back burner. After revisiting the show and comparing it to someof the other recent recordings that had been EQed, I realized that the volume was a little low and it could use tweaking.
Unlike other shows, the bass was brought up, along with the middle and high end. I added fades to the beginning and end ofeach disc and removed the usual audience noise before the encores. I’m very pleased to say that I’m extremely happy with theresults and wish to share it with the community.

The one thing I want to mention about the last stretch of the tour is Bruce’s decision to hire the services of the remarkable Curt Ramm. Curt is an amazing Jazz musician and his contributions on trumpet has elevated the music to a new high. Curt was a player on the “Live From Dublin” with the Sessions Band. If you haven’t visited Curt’s official website: www.curtramm.com ,you should. Especially if you are into Jazz, like myself.

Un altro bootleg di Springsteen in DVD della serie “THE G.S. MASTER COLLECTION” realizzato dalla Kokomo Records.

I dettagli del doppio DVD:

During the last 20 years G.S. has taped an enormous
amount of show of a huge number of artists.
They circulated in the trading community in various
formats: VHS, VCD, SVCD and last DVD but they have
never circulated in their best quality.

G.S. gave to Kokomo Records the key to his collection and
“THE G.S. MASTER COLLECTION” is the result of that
work.

The release presented here is the performance that
Bruce Springsteen gave in Firenze on may 21st 1997
during the last leg of The Ghost Of Tom Joad Solo Tour.
The DVDs are transfers from the original HI 8 mm master tapes,
no camera mix, no adjustment, just the raw footage with some
great work done on dubbing and authoring by the faboulous Digi-TOx.

Audio: AC3 48 kHz Stereo

In realtà avrei voluto far uscire questo post la settimana scorsa ma il tempo è volato un po’ troppo velocemente.

Questi sono stati i post (ad argomento Springsteen ovviamente) più letti dello scorso anno.

 Se non ho fatto casino dovrebbero essere 12 post, uno per mese.

Bootleg d’annata quello di oggi, testimonia infatti un concerto di springsteen datato 15 maggio del 1971.
Buona, considerando che ha quasi 40 anni, la qualità della registrazione.

The 2nd (and final) performance of the DR ZOOM & THE SONIC BOOM from the 1st annual “Ernie The Chicken Festival” – an excuse for an all-day, outdoor party extravaganza featuring several local bands including SUNNY JIM and ODIN. A very good quality soundboard tape of most (possibly all) of the Dr Zoom set has been in circulation since the early 1990’s and can be found on the CD boot “The Bruce Springsteen Story, Vol 5 – Dr Zoom & The Sonic Boom” (E.ST). The liner notes of the bootleg incorrectly lists the audio as emanating from the previous night’s performance at The Sunshine In – however this audio is definitely from the outdoor (not indoor) Dr Zoom show. MC Kevin Connair can be heard jokingly warning the campus Ambulances (who were parked nearby) to get ready as Bruce opens the show with some screeching guitar.

SPRINGSTEEN IN VACANZA

Dopo aver lavorato tutto l’anno finalmente un po’ di vacanza anche per Bruce Springsteen.

Eccolo a St Barths due giorni fa.

Bruce Springsteen enjoyed a day on the beach on Tuesday (January 12) with his wife Patti Scialfa and family while on holiday in St. Barths, French West Indies.
The 60-year-old rock icon otherwise known as The Boss proudly showed off his toned and sun-kissed bod while enjoying an afternoon of various sand and surf activities.
Bruce is enjoying a well-deserved vacay after the New Jersey legend was feted at the recent Kennedy Center Honors as President Barack Obama as well as a cavalcade of artists professed their admiration for his life and music.
