E-Street Band Farewell Tour?

After the latest show in Stockholm Bruce Springsteen bought a full page on the main Sweden newspaper to display this announcement: “We want to thank you and all of your relatives for making us a part of your life, your culture, your country”.

What do you think? Is it just a thank you page for one of the best audience or is it the farewell tour for Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band?

    L’anno prossimo cadono i trentanni da BORN IN THE USA,
    Chi può solo credere che non partirà un tour celebrativo?

    Che lui torni non ci sono dubbi, vedremo con o senza E-Street Band. Ci sono voci di un nuovo progetto stile Seeger Sessions. Vedremo! Intanto godiamoci questo secondo leg.

  • Sbaglio o semplicemente il Boss è molto legato a Stoccolma perché, proprio in questa città 25 anni fa, fece il suo primo concerto fuori dagli USA cominciando con Thunder Road, come dice qui:

    per alessandro: credo che il primo concerto fuori dagli USA risalga alla storica esibizione del 1975 all’Hammersmith Odeon di Londra. Comunque, spero con tutto il cuore e con tutta l’anima (heart and soul, heart and soul) che dopo il WB tour, Bruce torni a farci impazzire per le attese chilometriche davanti agli stadi, per le lottery che non funzionano mai, per tutto quello che c’è prima, durante e dopo un concerto di Bruce & the E-street band.

    In effetti il primo concerto europeo è stato quello all’ Hammersmith seguito da quello di Stoccolma.
    Si parla del 18 e del 21 novembre 1975.

  • I’m getting a little tired at all the discussions of a ESB over the past 10 years. There’s not a lot of evidence to support that. If anything, the evidence is the exact opposite. To my mind it seems that the passing of Danny & Clarence has moved Bruce to make the most of whatever time they all have left. Even if the next project and/or tour is not with the ESB, I’m sure we still be seeing plenty of them.

  • Considerando che il primo concerto a Londra fu condizionato dallo scetticismo di molti spettatori che diffidavano di Bruce Springsteen, considerandolo un fenomeno pompato dalla sua casa discografica, il primo vero concerto europeo in cui fu accolto con calore fu quello di Stoccolma del 21/11/75. Quindi, secondo me, ha voluto semplicemente ringraziarlo, a distanza di molti anni.

  • Farewell tour in 2016? Perish the thought! Bruce has toured either with or without a full band for every American presidential election since 1972. Given the fact that Bruce made a mistake in withholding his endorsement for Bernie Sanders(Stevie supported Bernie on Twitter in March of 2016) in the most recent presidential election, the farewell tour for the E Street Band is most likely to be in 2020. Hopefully, Bruce will release a new album of angry anti-Trump songs recorded with the E Street Band and produced solely by Stevie. We will have to wait until Bruce On Broadway concludes.
